It's funny the only episode I remember is with that sandwich too. I remember the girls eyes looking really dark. I think we were traumatized by that episode.
    Kind of scary!

I remember Powerhouse. I thought it was a really cool show. I can't remember all of the characters and episodes but I do remember the characters Kevin, Tony, Lo Lo, Pepper, Brenda, and a few certain episodes. I remember an episode when Brenda got sick with a deadly virus after eating a sandwich made by someone with the virus. Pepper's cat got some of the sandwich too. The cat ended up dying. That part kinda freaked me out a little. Seeing the dead cat didn't set well with me where I like cats n' all. The rest of the episode was cool though. They eventually found the woman with the virus and Brenda recovered.

I also remember an episode where Kevin had gained some weight. He got ticked off when Tony made a few comments while patting him on his new belly. From that point on, Kevin tried all he could to lose the excess weight. I think I remember Kevin telling someone, "I'm gonna loose 12 more." I think he said 12. Something went bad in the story and Kevin was almost killed. While in the steam room at a fitness center, someone locked the door and turned the heat way up. He got help by making SOS steam signals from inside the steam room. The Powerhouse gang was waiting for him outside and saw the signal. At the end, he had lost the weight and was back to his old lean self again. As he tried to weigh himself in front of everyone, the scale said that he was still overweight. Then, he turned around and saw that Pepper had her foot on the scale where Kevin couldn't see, and was applying pressure. He yelled, "Pepper!" and ran after her, lol.

I recall an episode when Lo Lo died in an explosion or something. He didn't really die though. He pretended to be dead at a fake funeral to catch the person who tried to kill him. He had a tape recorder in the coffin and recorded the killer saying stuff to him after everyone had left the room. The killer was a bit freaked to see Lo Lo sit up and show the tape recorder. I think I remember someone asking Lo Lo how he felt when it was over. I believe his reply was, "A little stiff." Everyone laughed. I think that show ended with Lo Lo accomplishing his best Bench Press he had been working up to.

I remember how they would have breaks in the program with cartoons n' stuff. I come to find out that they were called "Un-commercials" and the "Celebrity Organ" segments. Sounds funny, doesn't it. It's not what you think. One Celebrity Organ was a Fonzie character as a set of Lungs. Also, I remember a skit where you're taught how to control anger by tensing all you muscles hard, all at once for a 10 count, and then relax. It supposedly makes you feel better and less stressed.

I've been trying to find info on this show over the net. IMDB has some info. I did happen to find a website devoted to it. I would love to watch this show again someday. I hope a DVD set will be available in the future.

I loved this as a kid and anytime I ask someone if they've heard of it, they look at me like I'm crazy! I'm glad there are other people that enjoyed it as much as I did!
