The other cartoon was better where ALF was on Melmac or whatever you call it but this was still pretty good.

I watched Alf Tales when I was in college and I have a few episodes somewhere on VHS. There is one episode (don't remember if it's an Alf Tale or the regular cartoon) where Alf is skiing out of control. He knocks over a guy and if you super slow-mo it you can see the guy raise his arm and flip the bird.

The live action Alf was unwatchable as an adult but I still like the cartoons. I like the other cartoon better. I remember the previews and could not wait till it aired. Alf Tales I barely remember.

The first alf cartoon was the animated series just named "ALF" and then it was "ALF TALES"(which had alf and his alien friends play fairy tale characters). Those two shows were way better than the live-action TV show.

I seem to remember a different intro to this cartoon. It had a bunch of cats singing 'Gordon, Gordon' and ended with ALF walking up and saying "No more tabby pot pie before bedtime."

I remember this on saturday mornings. It was great. I think it was hosted by Alf (as a puppet) and he would talk about his stories on his planet (was it Melmac?) before coming over. It featured him and his family and all their little adventures. I particularly remember one where it was about a fairy tale or something and his girlfriend spoofed "The Princess And The Pea." This how was awesome...never liked the Live action though.
