I never did tune in to watch this, wish I did, you never see this on Boomerang at all

One observation I made when Boomerang came along is that HB seemed to try to make rip-offs of their own successes.

What a rip of the Jetsons! Hanna Barbera put out so many cartoons it's hard to keep track of them all...

I understand that this was to be a new series of The Jetsons, in which the characters had all grown older, but that ABC decided to go with an animated version of the Partridge family instead. This may be why the animated version of the Partridge family's manager looks like George Jetson with glasses.

I saw PF: 2200 A.D. when it aired under the name The Partridge Family In Outer Space as part of Fred Flintstone And Friends on WGNO-TV Channel 26, wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy back in 1978! The Partridge Family - The Complete First Season DVD Set includes bonus cartoon episodes of the Hanna-Barbera animated spin-off Partridge Family 2200 A.D. (CBS, 1974-75): "Car Trouble" (episode #77-14, first aired 12/7/74) and "My Son the Spaceball Star" (episode #77-1, first aired 11/30/74)...which of course was the main reason I bought it! ;)
