Loving was a daytime drama set in the fictional town of Corinth,PA and was co-created by Agnes Nixon of AMC & OLTL fame. Loving was originally a two hour prime time movie when it debuted in 1983. Loving's fictional town was set in between AMC's Pine Valley & OLTL's Llanview. PA. Several stars from All My Children would cross-over to Loving from time to time like Debbi Morgan & Jean LeClerc.

However, though Loving rated poorly for the majority during it's run the show had over 3,169 episodes aired. During 1995, the shows execs devised a major and final storyline where a serial killer killed the majority of the main cast. Due to poor ratings, Loving was cancelled and the remaining cast members went on to it's spin-off The City. Set in the Soho district of New York the nine remaining characters relocated to go on with their lives.

The City didn't fare to well either, in efforts to boost ratings, Morgan Fairchild joined the cast but was ultimately killed off. General Hospital's Tracey Quartermaine(Jane Eliot) crossed over to replace Fairchild. Subsequently, this didn't help the sagging ratings despite Eliot's addition to the show. The City was then cancelled in 1997.
