This was one of my favorite shows. I used to like all the different characters he would play.

Attention! "Hey Vern, It's Ernest" is finally on DVD!!! Mill Creek Entertainment, who've previously released the "Essential Ernest" collection, and an Ernest Triple Feature DVD set with "Ernest Goes To Camp/Ernest Goes To Jail/Ernest Scared Stupid," just released it last month.

Isn't there an online petition that can propose this 80s television program from DiC to be released onto DVD? If there is an online petition, I'd like to know what or where I can find that website.

Hey Vern, is a flashlight a good place to store dead batteries? I saw at least two episodes of this show and both were hilarious. Remember the clown from the show? He made a camio appearance in Ernest Scared Stupid. And by the way, for a fellow member, the "old lady with the neck brace" is Aunty Nelda and the "alien with a hand for a hat" is none other than Varney's darkest character, the evil Dr. Otto who started the movie run with Dr. Otto And The Riddle Of The Gloom Beam (1985). I have Goes To Camp, Saves Christmas, Goes To Jail and my personal favorite Scared Stupid all on DVD. I also agree that Hey Vern, It's Ernerst should be released on DVD so that us Ernest fans can add it to our collections. Here's to you Mr. Varney, takin' the denim to the great beyond, knowutimean?

Haha, I used to watch this show all the time. I was the Ernest fan while my Bro was the Pee-Wee fan. (Tho I liked pee-wee too) He was a funny guy and his movies from the 80's were a hoot. I have Ernest goes to camp on DVD! God rest Jim Varney's soul... he's a denim covered angel now.

To lots of us who do remember "Hey Vern, It's Ernest," here is a link that someone posted on our message boards here at RetroJunk. It's the closest thing to the intro to Hey Vern, It's Ernest. It's the theme song to Hey Vern, It's Ernest. Here is that link someone found and shared with me.

    Enjoy your visit...
