still one of my favorite shows to this day..i got a high quality dvd set of this show at a convention last year..got rid of my old vhs tapes finally.. this show had a lot going for it..they should have not ended it so quickly...you had action, suspense brief humor..the special effects still hold up well today(the wolf suits look amazing)...and the most important thing was it actually had a great story..even the into music was somber and errie..i always watch this show with the lights out..
the tone of the series was dark but not to dark(fox network remember)
the characters really stuck out..who could forget Skorzeny? played with a devlish flair by chuck connors...and my favorite character in this series the bounty hunter" alamo joe" rogan played by lance le gault...this character was cold as ice and it made you want to know more about him..i love the voiceover he gives the first few minutes of the first episode.. then we have eric cord (played by actor john j york) who gives a innocent, good natured tone to the series..this guy is the last person you exect or want to see turn into a werewolf and you always hope he gets his cure..
it was a shame that we never saw eric rid himself of the curse, but it was a wild wide for sure..
this series such as the night stalker (not the recent remake), and friday the 13th the tv series was the template for the x files etc..but these shows sometimes surpass the x files..
if you can, get a copy of werewolf the series on dvd.ebay dosent offer it all the time.
