I loved this show when I was a teenager. I liked to look at Nick and Cody. My dad would tease me and say that I was really watching the show to look at Murray.
Notice how long that intro is? Pretty typical of shows pre-mid-90s to have longer and more elaborate opening themes. The opening was seen as a part of the overal package to be enjoyed by the audience. It wasn't just a brief, necessary introduction of the show, composed for the mere purpose of displaying names of producers we don't care about.
Shows back then also had closing themes as well--with credits that flashed at a far more human pace. Actually, current shows have them as well, but they're squeezed and sped up to allow for more ad space. But if you wanna see them, you'll have to buy the dvd or catch the show in syndication. Welcome to the 21st Century.
