I too have the complete series on dvd... I was pretty much raised on this show. Heh, I still remember pushing my parents out of the room (not liturally of course) when this was on. ALWAYS watched and recorded it when it was on tv.

Other than The StoryTeller, I wonder if "The Jim Henson Hour" will ever be released onto DVD.

What is The Jim Henson Hour? It was a TV show that aired in 1989, and introduced Jim Henson's last creations of new muppets. Of course it got cancelled after Jim passed away.

Wow i actually thought this came out later than it really did.Like the late nineties,or at least that's when i watched it. on HBO FAMILY

I remember the opening to this, the old man and the dog, but honestly I can't recall which eps. i saw. I'd have to pick up the dvd sometime.

I also have it on dvd... my parents used to sit me in front of the telly every saterday (well, I'd more or less sit in front of the telly (liturally) till they let me watch it lol)

The StoryTeller was a great program. Too bad it only lasted one season and only had nine episodes. I own the DVD of The StoryTeller. It's just as good as both The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth.
