Ah, I remember this from Nickelodeon. Whenever I watched it, my grandpa would ask 'is this the Peanuts?' and I would reply 'no, it's Charlie Brown!' XD I had no knowledge of the name Peanuts back then. RIP Charles Schultz.

Man, I miss these cartoons.... One of the last good cartoons that wasn't based on a TV series (not necessarily a bad thing, but takes away from originality) and didn't depend on crude humor to laugh. Not that I don't appreciate crude humor, but you can't exactly watch Eddie Murphy when someone's kids are around.

Does anyone have a copy of the charlie brown halloween and christmas as it aired on TV in the 80's i had a tape with them on it that my mom recorded and it got recorded over so if anyone has a copy please let me know. I have recently bought the holiday collection but it's not the same without the retro commercials there the best!

Some rude students were harassing me and calling me Charlie Brown for no reason when I was in middle school. I don't know why they were doing it. I kept complaining to one of my teachers about it and she refused to do spmething about it. I don't know why though.I complained to my other teachers about it too. Some of them also refused to do something about it. I was fighting those students because they kept picking on me and I fed up with their behavior. As a result, I got sent to the assistant principal's office and I received almost about every punishment that my middle school had to offer.

Peanuts fan for life, so this show has always been a personal favorite of mine.

I always watch the peanuts I watch Thanksgiving, Christmas, Halloween and so much more of them

I like Charlie Brown. I also live in Santa Rosa, CA which is also where Charles M. Schultz used to live. There's statues of Charlie Brown and Woodstock all over the town.

Although I do recall seeing this opening a few times growing up, the main one I remember is a bit different. It had different clippings and the music was the same melody, but it was all instrumental, more upbeat and jazzy, and in general more catchy.

I remember watching it back in the 80's and also on Nickelodeon in the mid 90's. I have seen this on the Nicktoons channel at night, and then it just disapeared.

The water bed sequence in the opening was edited off from the movie RACE FOR YOUR LIFE CHARLIE BROWN (1977) a lot of the opening sequences were edited off from IT'S FLASHBEAGLE CHARLIE BROWN (1984).

This is the 1985 season opening.

Although I respect peanuts.
The song is campy.
The jazz stuff is cool
