Your welcome Willy Fog! It helps if you bought the DVD's and watched them like I have. I hope this info will be usefull for other fans too. Hopefully it will.

Oh and Cardinal Richelieu, Millady and Widimer (complete with his orginal Series 1 voice provided by Mike Reynolds) are in this series, but they are not the main bad guys, though Millady plays a crucial role in the final saga of the second series. Pip's voice actor returns in this series as well (Drew Levi Thomas). The only real hiccup I had with this series is Michael Sorich's voice for Athos since it kind of makes him sound dumb, but I got used to it in the end. Oh and one more thing, they re-mixed the theme tune and gave it new lyrics.

Well Series 2 had brighter colours and similar animation to Series 1. However only a few of the orginal voice actors had returned to do Series 2, with some new voices taking over some of the characters, like instead of Cam Clarke, Dogtanian is played by Dave Mallow who wrote the orginal English adaption for Series 1 along with fellow voice actor (for both series) Doug Stone. The stories are pretty much based off Alexander Dumas novel 'The Man In The Iron Mask' since the second series features King Louis XIV's evil twin brother Blancbec. I thought the second series wasen't bad but it is different from the first series and like the first series, it is avaliable in a four DVD box set here in the UK. I have to admit the worst Dogtanian dub was for the TV Movie of the second series, since it was done in 1995, in Britain so the cast was totally different and they even changed some of the names. I hope this clears things up Willy Fog.

Your welcome. I was more of a CITV person, but I did collect 2 of the videos release, one of them had episode 5 on it, along with a colouring book and pens I think. Anyway I brought the complete first series last year on DVD.

To Willy Fog: You're thinking of Episode 5: Monsieur Treville, Captain of the Musketeers. During the flashback scene where Treville explaned to Dogtanian, why Dogtanian's father stopped being a musketeer.
The show did have a great theme tune, no arguements here!
