This was such a great detective show. I used to watch it with my Grandmother and we loved it. Telly Savalas was really popular at that time. He was in a James Bond movie first.
The theme music and intro shots of NY are so freakin' cool! There is nothing like this on nowadays. Those CSI type shows really suck.
