    I still love watching re-runs. . . . BIG BUCKS, NO WAMMIES!!!

I use to watch this when I was about four years old. I only watched it to see the Whammies run across the T.V . screen. I was the only thing that was cartoon on the show.

    I loved this game show!

I always wished the contestants landed on the whammys just to see them.

Michael Larson figured out that there was a pattern to getting the money and prizes on the board and used it to win the highest amount ever on the show. CBS tried to withhold his winnings by saying that he cheated but they lost. If I remember the documentary correctly, Larson's life went downhill after he got the money :(

This game show ABSOLUTELY ROCKED!! The "sequel" game show was very good as well....albeit trickier when it came 2 facing the "big board"

I want to see that documentary of Michael Larson, who won the highest amount of money from Press Your Luck. That documanetary was on GSN a couple of years ago.

Whammy! wasn't that bad of a show, but it doesn't compare to PYL.
    TV1985 Posted 8 years 8 months ago
Yeah. I was watching a Press Your Luck marathon on G.S.N. today, which was dedicated to Peter Tomarken and his wife, Kathleen who were both killed in a plane crash.

Peter Tomarken: Born December 7, 1942. Died March 13, 2006.

    Rest in Peace, Peter.

I do agree with kimsy520. Never butcher a classic... unless it has the original host of PYL which was Peter Tomarkin. And the original set of PYL which is or was at Television City studios in Hollywood.

I loved this show :) It probably would have tanked if not for the whammys :) The new PYL show just called Whammy!, don't like that one. Never, ever butcher a classic!

    Big Bucks, No Whammies, STOP!

Press Your Luck was my favorite game show from the 80's.

I watch some of the reruns of Press Your Luck on Game Show Network once in a while. I don't like Whammy! The All-New Press Your Luck that is also on G.S.N. that much. Nothing beats the original.
