The Tekkaman Blade DVD release is the unedited Japanese version of the show, whilst the Teknoman DVD release is the less-censored australian dub. There is also a sequel OVA series entitled Tekkaman Blade 2.

actually, the whole thing happened by Jupiter i think. The aliens attacked the spaceship and placed all the people on board in these pods where the aliens would take control of their bodies. on the way to earth the main character's dad was rejected for being too old, but before dying he managed to free the main character before he was brainwashed, and he set a self destruct sequence or just some random bomb or who knows what....in any case there was a big explosion that caused the alien ship to crash land on the dark side of the moon while the son crashed on earth and got amnesia. remembering only that he had to stop the alien invaders

Yeah, I remember they found out he was the son of some scientist that was reasearching something on the moon with his family who disappeared. His enemy was his twin brother and he had a younger sister they all had te power to transform like him. The power had something to do with what happened on the moon.
