Sadly, this isn't the only crappy product with the "Turtles" name attached, but it is one of the crappiest. The mythos was all over the place (couldn't decide if they were Chinese, Japanese, Tibetan, or a weird mix), the puppets were disgustingly cheap, the writing made me gag, and the characters were so off I refuse to consider them the TMNT!

this show almost ruined the turtles for me..

This was the first TMNT show I ever watched. I didn't really get into TMNT until I was about 14. I watched the movie and thought to myself "WTF? They're missing a turtle!" I asked my bros about it and they said there never was a fifth turtle in the cartoon. I didn't remember that the show was live action and they forgot it even existed. I just remember the turtles lol.

That messes up the plot! Really they were FOUR regular Turtles that got mutated, so WHERE does the sister come in?

This show was just terrible. No Shredder after the first episode, doofy costumes, poorly written, and the fifth turtle was just an excuse to add in a token female.

This was an ok show. I never liked the 5th turtle though...kinda ruined it for me.

RESPECT = maybe...not a bad idea for a show...but not so great.....NOOOOOOOT SO GREAT. Saban started to suck around this period in life. Evidence = this show

This show is pretty bad. I liked it when I was 7 years old but then after re-watching the series again (well pretty much the "East Meets West" sage which is released on VHS as a movie but also from UK DVDs) I relized how bad the show really is. I couldn't watch 5 minutes or the show without cringing for one second.

My all time favorite show is the original 1980's- early 90's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles... and my theory on this show, which I tried very hard to give a shot (a 2 episode shot), is that it should never have been made. The shows should have ended after the GREAT original series, and the movies should have stopped after Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III. Most kids today don't even know that the crap they are watching now was stemmed from something so much better and more fun, and that makes me sad inside...

This show was not at all good,they should not have hade Venus in it,the turtles were better off without them.

There are several reason I didn't like this show. First, Ninja Turtles had their time in the spotlight. Why can't people just leave it alone? Second, four turtles was enough. Notice how that fifth one never got anywhere past this show? She clearly wasn't needed. Third, having them appear on power rangers. They great genres separately, but putting them together was not the smartest thing in the world as far as I'm concerned. This show was just another way for them to make money off a franchise whose time had long since passed.

They used these same costumes in a couple new power rangers episodes in which the turtles are villians and hijack the power rangers ship. I can't remember which series it was, there's too many of em. I found it amusing. It was a 'so horribly bad its funny' kind of situation.

One word to describe this show. Unnecessary.

NT:NM should have been better, they designed some pretty doofy looking cosumes...the plastron looks silly, they dont have muscle there, it's a PLASTRON...it's bone not soft & squishy muscle. They could have done so much better with t he animatronics.
I remember flipping channels once and I stopped on it for 5 min...never again.

then i go buy the region 2 DVD and watch it...why i dunno, but Raph was half way okay.

But the whole concept of the series was to make it as Power Rangersesque as possible.... considering that it was done by Saban. And that name just oozes quality.

I watched one episode and NEVER went back to it again. Give me the comic, cartoon (new or old series), and the movies ANY day of the week.

And i liked how they teamed up with the power rangers.
But it also wasnt great.
Dragonlord was a good replacement for shredder.
But other badguys like that hunter and that stupid ape should have stayed out.

You know what I recently relized, Venus De Milo is also an actor who played in the Nickelodeon show, Salute Your Shorts.

this show I though was aculy O.K. back then I though it was cool to have a ninja turtles show that was live action like the movies.they also had a jeep that had flames that came out of the exost pipes when it started up.

The turtles played by humans... I like the idea of cartoon turtles. People playing a kids tv show just doesn't seem right, just like the movies were there are people playing the tuttrles and made them swear all the time and on the internet were they make the turtles drink. Hey fellas, the turtles were little kids heros now your making them act like real teenagers. What's up with that?

put it like this... as once said in the Simpsons (the episode where Homer becomes the voice of the new character in Itchy & Scratchy) "A new character being added usually means the falling of ratings and the need to give the show a boost"

the turtles from the movies looked cooler,the costumes on these ones dont quite cut it.
