I wish Square One TV was reenergized for today's generation of math kids & teens.

Great show! We would try to watch it whenever it came on. Mathnet was the best and Oops! Is for Erasers! Yeardley(Lisa Simpson)Smith was featured in one of the best episodes, she loved a gorilla named Grunt. : )

Used to watch this in school during 8th grade. Mathnet was the best.

the best info i remember from the "mathnet" show was all the multiples of 9 equal nine. for example 9*7 = 63. 6+3 = 9. 9*12 = 108. 1+0+8 = 9. this still facinates me till this day

I swear that's keri kenny-silver from "Reno-911" in those opening credits. i checked imdb.com but her name doesn't come up. She's towards the end looking at the magazine with the same bob haircut as she has now.

I used to love this show! It's a shame that now as an adult I can not stand the sight of any mathmatical computation. This show certainly served it's purpose in making making math entertaining for children.

I loved Square One TV and Mathnet and yes I miss this show and I hope they get both Square One and the hour long Mathnet on DVD soon. My favorite Mathnet episode would be the first one with grunt the gorilla and the episode of the Mystery Weekend

Another great example of educational television. I LOVED THIS SHOW! Weird Al was even on it one time, singing the song "Patterns!"

My brothers, sister, and I would always get excited when this show would come on. I miss it too, along with other great PBS educational shows. The shows PBS has for kids now are mostly cartoons. Nothing as educational as what we used to watch. They should bring back those classic educational shows.

I was too little (2nd grade) to understand what was going on but still fascinated anyway.

To my best knowledge, during the 90's, Square One TV was known as "Math Talk", a show that featured Maria Lopez and her sidekick Buster the parrot. They have those available on video, and I've seen a lot of them.
