The Shmoo Posted 5 years 4 months ago

    Trueblue94 Posted 5 years 5 months ago
I'm a theater kid, and my school did the Jr version of the play when I was in 4th grade. I was in the chorus, and the songs stayed in my head. The Preamble song helped me get an A on a test in 7th grade! I got to do the play again just this past year when I joined theater in high school, and that made me want to get the DVD with all the songs. Today's generation of kids needs this badly, and I wish my generation could've seen it too!

i remember most of the Schoolhouse Rock cartoons such as Three is a Magic Number, Conjunction Junction and I'm Just a Bill. These cartoons were a great mix of music and education. Also memorable was the constitution cartoon that set the preamble to music.
    sheena82588 Posted 5 years 11 months ago
The only way I know The Preamble is if I sing it.
khadjah Posted 6 years 1 month ago

we had the vcr collection of this. I watched it everyday.
    Kathym14 Posted 6 years 3 months ago
OMG this show was the bomb. You could not help but remember all the subjects that were taught on School House Rock my sister and I grew up watching this show and we were better for it. The kids now don't have a chance. The school systems want teachers to teach a state test and not prepare the kids for higher learning. The kids are lost now education wise we need to bring this show back.
    glennm1967 Posted 6 years 5 months ago
I'm old enough to know that the rare ending to Multiplication rock was the original ending back in the day. Also, the beginning of Figure Eight was the original beginning of Schoolhouse Rock back in 1973 or 1974.Schoolhouse Rocky didn't start Schoolhouse Rock until later episodes.Being 6 years old in 1973,and hooked up to Saturday cartoons,Trust me,I remember.
ironeagle Posted 6 years 5 months ago

mrmusic Posted 6 years 8 months ago
So if you're happy (HORAY!!) or sad (AW!) or frighten(EEK!)or Mad (RATS!), an interjection starts the sentence right.

One of the best things about TV back then is that all our cartoons and television shows taught you something, and this was one of the best. We watched every one and learned a song and got some good edumucation!!!! Loved it and thanks for adding to my good times.
Auzette Posted 6 years 11 months ago
We need to get these episodes back on the air..I know they helped me when I was in school and I still remember most of them
    ECROWE4149 Posted 7 years 9 days ago
One day in English class, we were having a discussion on how we know knowledge is power and one guy said 'Because School House Rock told me so!'

    It was absolutely hilarious!

Today's kids for sure need it!
Kumero Posted 7 years 2 months ago

    mewcat201 Posted 7 years 2 months ago

growing up in the 70's and it doesn't get old!
    DMoney89 Posted 7 years 5 months ago
half the things I academically know now, I wouldn't have know if it weren't for School House Rock.

This generation DESPERATELY needs School House Rock back.
    cam1cyle2 Posted 7 years 5 months ago
This was the easiest way for me to learn and have fun at the same time. I wish this show aired now for this generation.

freakazoid Posted 8 years 3 months ago
My school showed us these videos all the time, there ok but i think i would go mad if i had to watch these all the time...
SSJ Jup81 Posted 8 years 3 months ago
I loved Schoolhouse Rock (the 70s ones; I didn't care for the ones that came out in the 90s). It really helped me when I was younger, especially the math-based ones. Third grade, when we were learning more dealing with multiplication, these tunes helped me out (3s and 9s respectively).

The funny thing is that I still use those tunes to help me out even now, especially when it comes to grammar.
jaklumen Posted 8 years 4 months ago
    Educators really love this show.
    Rogue73 Posted 8 years 8 months ago
why can't these be back on t.v. They were, but then...they disappeared once more. Thank God for DVDs

    I loved that show!
    mrs.link Posted 9 years 23 days ago
well i think in the end it helped me with my 9's....
adventoflegion Posted 9 years 1 month ago
If you didn't learn anything from this show, then you probrably are retarded. This was a great learning tool for the youth of our age, and a perfect premise too. Using music and catchy tunes to help you learn and it wasn't long, came on right before and after your favorite Saturday morning cartoons.
Davisrocks Posted 9 years 1 month ago
i have all of them on dvd
    mrs.link Posted 9 years 2 months ago
multiplicatioon version of this SUCKED!!! it didnt ever help me!!!
