This is one of my favorite shows. I watch it everyday on Chiller and Syfy (Sci-fi). I also like Monsters, Twilight Zone, and Tales from the Crypt.

The episode was called A Case of The Stubborns I think. My favorite episode was The Devils Advocate starring Jerry Stiller as Luthor Mandrake a radio talk show host who was a real jerk to his callers and who eventually starts getting hairy and then decays. By the end of the episode he looks like an ugly monster with little horns starting to grow out of his head.

'Man lives in the sunlit world of what he percieves to be reality...'. Yeah that opening was crazy. There was this episode about a monster living under a kids bed. He was scared but realized that the monster wouldn't hurt him because he gave the monster a place to lay his ghouly head. So the kid befriends the beast, but over time he starts getting brave. At the end the kid is getting choked to death by the monster. The kid tells him he won't have a place to sleep anymore if he continues to strangle him. The monster replies 'I live under someone elses bed now.' That creep the hell out of me.

loved this show along with the other anthology shows of the 80s and 90s like monsters, freddy's nightmares, friday the 13th the series, ray bradbury, alfred hitchcock presents, tales from the crypt, the hitchhiker, etc. tales from the darkside and monsters came on back to back in syndication in my area at 10 o'clock on sunday nights (on chicago's wgn channel 9 i think) when i was a teen. they rocked !!

I have to agree with most people's comments here. The opening song still gives me a shiver when I here it and I just can't bring myself to watch it if I'm by myself at night. Just scary.

My god, Tales from the Darkside was the single scariest show I ever watched as a kid. Screw X-Files, screw Twilight Zone, it was all about Tales from the Darkside!

i remember the intro ALWAYs scared me, but i watched it as much as i could, because i loved being scared, and it usually came on after dark so i would sit in a dark living room and watch it. When i was little the shows were scary, but not as scary as The Twilightzone, the 80's remake not the 50's one. The 80's remake scarred me, seriously.

I remember it being scary. I don't remember the episodes though. I might if I were to watch the show over again.

It's no wonder Tales From the Crypt replaced this. It feels too much like a Twilight Zone/Outer Limits ripoff.
