I don't know when he was cuter, when he was Chachi or Charles? (Scott Baio). Still, I love this show, I still watch it with my family!

Happy days was ok, it made it ok to stay in after 8 p.m. and watch t.v. but after a while , close to end it was getting or lost its charm, too many changes in the program, and not just simple anymore. Everyone wanted top billing. Oh well I guess the cast had to grow -up.But that did not happen with Ozie & Harriet , I wonder why?

I loved Happy Days! As a family we would sometimes, o.k.,almost all the time, sit and watch it. After my own kids were past the toddler stage(almost into the double digit years),the re-runs were being aired again and they started to check out some of the episodes and ask questions
about who's who,etc....,then they watched more frequently with me and decided it was pretty cool-especially the Fonz!So that made mom seem and feel pretty cool too!
Goofball Posted 9 years 2 months ago
It started out as a good show, but the Fonzie character just got too obnoxious. The Fonz was a little runt! Even Ralph Malph could've kicked his ass. Also, it lost it's 50s look and feel.

I use to watch this show on TVLand and Nick at Nite.
    Trueblue94 Posted 9 years 7 months ago
I used to watch it all the time on Nick at Nite. I've noticed it's become cliche to model "cool" cartoon characters after Fonzie.

Gary Marshall (father of Penny Marshall of Laverne and Shirley fame) knew the craft of making TV series very well.

When in fact Garry & Penny are brother & sister.

I remember the day after the first episode aired. One of the girls in my grade 9 class in high school kept on quoting the line, "Man, oh, man, you've got it made in a shade". I had forgotten that it was a spin-off of "Love, Amercian Style". I Liked the one season (intro 3 above, with Joanie spinning around with the baton) where the final scene ended, the music and lyrics started, and they added, "These are such happy days". Wasn't "Blansky's Beauties" also a spin-off of this show?
dhjustin Posted 12 years 4 months ago
who can forget the spin-off when chachi and the girl(forget who) tried to have their own show, which ending up being a flop. (hope someone remembers what year it ran and who the girl was)
datura Posted 12 years 5 months ago
that show definitely jumped the shark when...Fonzie jumped the shark
jaklumen Posted 12 years 7 months ago
Gary Marshall (father of Penny Marshall of Laverne and Shirley fame) knew the craft of making TV series very well. The show spawned two very successful spinoffs, Laverne and Shirley and Mork & Mindy, as well as a cartoon series with the gang traveling through time. There were two other spinoffs-- Joanie Loves Chachi and Happy Days Again, both which were unsuccessful. Joanie Loves Chachi is now infamously known for becoming #1 in Korea because Chachi means "penis" in Korean.

Henry Winkler's portrayal of Arthur Fonzarelli was particularly impressive as he has described himself as nervous and tentative, unlike the Fonz. He seemed to naturally exude sex appeal in the character-- there is an outtake of him kissing Marion Ross as the cast was preparing for a take. Also, Winkler has said he crashed in the motorcycle after shooting the clip in the intro-- he didn't know how to ride a motorcycle.

    p.s. It's Scott *Baio*.

This show was good the first three years but the last seven years it began to suck and I lost interest.
MicroMan Posted 12 years 7 months ago
I've recently noticed that the theme song to Happy Days is used in the commercial on most Paramount movies "when they show you the Paramount films like Charlie Brown, Andre, the Wizard, ect.
    8Tschild Posted 13 years 15 days ago
This show was cool. i use to watch it weekday mornings in the summer of like 1990 or 91, when it use come right after or before the 60s batman series.

it use to have a different intro, with "rock around the clock" as the title song.
    she-ra21 Posted 13 years 2 months ago
    This show was genius.
Plecostomus Posted 13 years 4 months ago
I remember the primary insult of this show was "sit on it." I'm gunna try that on one of my enemies today to see if it has any effect.
Oh, yah. I own a copy of the board game made after this show. It's only fun if you make your own rules. Otherwise, your just walking around town trying to be the "coolest." With a little implementation of violence, the game is tolerable.
Trashley Posted 13 years 5 months ago
This show is a classic. Does TV Land even play this anymore?
imissem Posted 13 years 5 months ago
    I agree!
