If anyone noticed, aside from me not knowing WHERE this creepy show came from, Rupert the Bear is Stewie\'s sidekick on Family Guy. After all, Stewie does have the British accent and this is a show from the UK.
How weird is that? I would\'ve never thought that Seth McFarlane can be so nostalgically crazy

FyneT(oo)ning: Actually Rupert was first created back in 1920 and he was used in comics for the british newspaper \"Daily Express\". The cartoons are based off the comic strips.

So Rupert goes back as far as \'71? WOW! Did any of you also know that Rupert was created by none other than Paul McCartney? He must\'ve come up with the idea while worrying about the possibility that his future in the music business wouldn\'t have lasted long after the breakup of the Beatles (which, of course, it did, as he soon went on to form his backup band Wings, and, afterwards, a brilliant solo career). Actually, his inspiration for creating Rupert was his new role as father to his first child with Linda at the time.

Oh and I was just looking this up on Wikipedia and actually this show aired on ITV (UK channel) from 1971-1977. I had no idea that they made this show. It looks REALLY weird.

What the heck? OK I had no idea that there\'s a claymation version of this series. How long has this version been on TV anyway?
