    Funny show with a great cast. I remember about 10 years ago when TV Land ran a Barney Miller marathon and I sat and watched it for hours. It kinda bummed me out, though, to always see the World Trade Center in the intro when they showed the NYC skyline. It kept reminding me of that awful day.

      This was a very funny show, the characters were classic. Hal Linden was a great Barney Miller and Detective Nick Yamana had some of the best one liners. Abe Vigoda was great as Fish and ended up with his own spin off show. Detective Dietrich had a very dry delivery for his comments and jokes but he was also very funny. I remember watching the last episode of this series and when Barney Miller closed the door to the detectives squad room for the last time.

        the theme was cool, then theres the show...old, dingy, dank and dark, didn\'t watch it

            I love this show. Im so glad season 2 is comming out on dvd. I have waited forever for it.

              Whatever happened to Barbara Barrie? I may be wrong, but I recall she\'d died some time after BM was cancelled.

                  I believe this show should be in the 70s section as it ran during that decade mainly.
