I too was part of the Captain Power event! I got the PowerJet for Christmas, along with the first two episodes on VHS! A few years ago, I got a sizable collection of Captain Power action figures, an Energizer, and a PowerJet. And I found that the Energizer STILL WORKS WITH THE SIGNAL, EVEN ON THE INTERNET! I always hope that this will end up on DVD some day! POWER ON!

I had both jets that were guns you had to shot at you're television and if you got shot you're guy would be ejected from the jet. You had to shoot at the flashing neon pink/red on the screen. I thought it was really cool. Thank god my parents were rich and I had all these odd-bal toys.

I had the Power Jet toy that I begged my parents for. I was obsessed with the show for a while there. I thought that if you shot the guys on screen they would really die in the show. Imagine my disappointment when it didn't happen.

It WAS produced in Canada - it was filmed in a makeshift studio set up in an old TTC (Toronto Transit Commission) bus barn. I was a total Captain Power freak when it was on...taped nearly all the original toy commercials (I think I missed all of two...), bought every video, taped all the episodes that weren't released on video, and had all the interactive guns. Oh, and how could I forget all TWO issues of the comic book... :)

I recently transferred my whole set of episodes and commercials over to DVD if anyone's looking for a nice quality set...

Bizzarre. Because I remember this show...but YTV didn't air it until well into the '90s! No wonder I thought it was so laughably low-budget.

I loved playing with the ship against the show! I definitely remember the Bio-dreads being scary as hell!

I never saw the show, but according to some other sites, this show included an interactive segment where kids would bring their Captain Power and Soldiers of the Future toy light guns in the shape of space fighters to the television and shoot enemy ships on the screen. The system kept score and damage. If the kid became too damaged, the toy would trigger and an action figure would be ejected from the cockpit! Sounds cool, but did anyone ever play the game? http://www.pop-arena.com has an interesting article on the subject. Just look through the article archives!
