NA NA NA Gonna Have a Good Time Hey Hey Hey. I watched this every Saturday morning when I lived on the East Coast. These episodes were great and Bill Cosby popping in and doing the monologe made it even better. There was always a lesson to be learned by the end of the show. A true cartoon classic.

Fat Albert rocked. I really loved the theme song, and the lessons from Bill Cosby after the show. I must say that of all the characters on the show, Fat Albert was probably my favorite.

Hey, Hey, Hey!!! It's Fat Albert!!! Not only can we thank Lou Scheimer and the late Norm Prescott, but also Bill Cosby for bringing Fat Albert and his friends to TV, for thirteen years.

I loved this show. I watched it whenever I could. I learned more about getting along with people from shows like this than I did my family. Also, I am pretty sure it can be seen through Netflix.

I loved the show. I even have the FUBU Fat Albert Gear. I would love to get the ringtone to this on my cellphone one day when i can afford ringtones. The thing about the show was the Brown Hornet. I loved that one too which Bill Cosby plays the voice of the Brown Hornet.

Ok I was born in raised in North Philadelphia. My Nanny(Grandma) went to elementary with Bill Cosby, and she told me that the Cosby kids and junkyard were based on real life places in North Philly. So needless to say me and my gang went out in search of this fun junkyard and some of his crew..LOL Crazy Good Times..We Def had a good time in North Philly..I really miss the 80's!

'Hey Hey Hey' was a catch phrase of the time to help people remember Fat Albert I believe.
jaklumen Posted 11 years 9 months ago
    >>>Yeah, but this is how Bill Cosby grew up in Philadelphia, he even talks about stuff on his comedy LPs that were later turned into episodes. I forgot I used to watch this. I remember the real life bumpers with Bill, but not the cartoons. Gotta dig that funky fro, and bassline in the opening theme.<<<

Yup-- if you remember his standup, you'll note that all the characters are drawn from the routines. More people might remember material being used for the Cosby Show, which is a standard format for shows with comedians nowadays (Everybody Loves Raymond, The Drew Carrey Show, Home Improvement, etc.)

My wife got into the cassette recordings watching this show, and after I listened to my folks' 'I Started Out As A Child' LP, so did I. We were throwbacks to our parents' generation (not so much hers, buit mine) as we went around quoting the material.

Bill Cosby was ghetto before ghetto was cool.
jaklumen Posted 11 years 9 months ago
    Good times from my childhood.

My wife and I went to see the Fat Albert movie some time ago and we really enjoyed it. Although I noticed it was aimed at Generation Y somewhat, I remember her pointing at the actors playing the main characters and saying, "Hey, they're walking just like they did in the cartoon!"
    LavaDiddyKong2 Posted 11 years 9 months ago
    Ok show I guess.
Moonxtal Posted 12 years 8 days ago
I didn't see alot of this show when I was younger, but I do recall an eps where the boys went against the girls in a cooking contest. Usualy in cartoons, it's the boys ragging on the girls, telling them they suck at stuff, but this time it was reversed! The girls ragged on the boys, saying that they can't cook. well when it came time to judge, the boys won! They ended up using candy eggs to win. I loved how the moral was turned on it's head. So innovative!
