Come on, you guys must be out of your minds. I looooooooved Calliope. Gene and Liza? remember? It gave you a cartoon, yes, but some episodes gave you life lessons. Does anyone remember the episode about the bullied kid that stood up for himself? Classic!!
They didn\'t just show cartoons. They showed a variety of different things. They showed music videos and things like 30 minute movies. They also taught educational things like math. I loved that show, because it was a positive program for kids to watch. It taught them good things. It was better than what the children of today have to look at on TV.
I just want to say, my most favorite episode, was the one where they had this music video called ABC, where the little kids were rapping and playing in the park. In that same episode, they had this mini movie called The Entertainer. Where this guy in England would use his feet and legs/body to play music on the streets. At first the people were like, get out of the street, what are you doing. You\'re stopping traffic. But as he went on, they saw and heard him create the music. It was like he had a huge audience right there in teh street and on the side walk.By the time he was done, the entire city out side cheered for him. And the UK police tried to do what he did after that.
My most favorite of this episode was, the mini series called Halmoni. It was a bout alittle girl named Kathy. She was elementary school age. About fifth or sixth grade. It was all about her accepting her Korean grandmother, and the Korean side of her heritage (she was Korean and White). Because she didn\'t like her Korean side, and she didn\'t like or understand her Korean grandmother. I adored that one.
The funny thing is, I actually kept the actual recording of this program. I lt my sister barrow the tape, and I never saw it again. I wish I could find this on DVD. One day I hope.
