This Is One Great I mean This Is One Awsome Movie because I remember watching this movie back in the United Artists Movie Theatre back in Upper Darby Pa. back in 97' even though this movie's about a couple of hours long but it's very very good to watch but I remember a couple of years later I've bought the original VHS copy which had 2 vhs cartridges of the movie then over the next few years I've bought it on DVD which had the whole movie & back in 2012 or 2014 when BluRay discs started coming out I've bought the movie on that format too but this movie is one very good late 90's classic.

Titanic Rocks!
Retrograde Posted 7 years 24 days ago
As blockbusters go I thought this was actually quite sympathetic. Obviously some artistic license was used but I thought that the producers stayed pretty close to many known facts about the Titanic and only really strayed away in order to create the love story. The scenes of the sinking were pretty hard going, very powerful stuff indeed.

theskooterguy Posted 7 years 3 months ago
I predict that there will be a special 3D edition coming next year! The wreck is almost a century old!
Italianbaby Posted 7 years 3 months ago
OMFG....I was obsessed with this movie when I was younger( and Leonardo Dicaprio)...I remember I used to watch it nonstop...My mom bought me the movie and I watched it 15 times in a week (I counted)...I don't know how I managed it with it being as movie long as it is...I was crazy with Titanic!!!
Plneterth Posted 7 years 8 months ago

iamscott Posted 7 years 11 months ago

its...ok I guess. I think avatar is way better since it beat titanics box office record by far. while titanic was able to earn over 1 billion dollars and hasent been beaten for a record 13 longn years , Avatar beats its box office records , gained the first ever 2 Billion Dollars , and is far better in comparison in the epic scale. james cameron is a story teller and he has prooved it time and time again from the Terminator series , to Aliens , to The Abyss , and his epics like Titanic & Avatar. so , what is James Cameron up to now might you ask? well , to put it simply , he is actually making 2 more Avatar films and has been his goal from the start to start a franchise , and he is also working on the live adaptation of the anime Battle Angel Alita. from the anime manga it looks like he can actually do it. gally aka Alita will be a CGI character. I sort see Titanic as a film that while sad and romantic , is overly long and boaring at times. not every film that is over 3 hours long can be entertaining. Lord of the Rings is an execption because stuff was happening. this whole movie was just one major build up. the plot is depressing , the movie is slow , and the only major thing that happends is the boat sinking. seriously he made all that money from a film where the characters arent real and the special effects were mainly focused on nothing but people dying and people literally freezing to death in the cold water. its an easily made fun of movie. I am sorry for those of you out there who like this film , but I just find it too long and very boaring. on the opposite side and literally 12 years later , his Avatar film at least got me excited and it made more money then Titanic. James Cameron really works best with science fiction. its his home turf. Avatar 2 & 3 as well as Battle angel alita I look forward to see in the distant future. for for titanic , I think its a sinker. too long , boaring , and mainly just keeps building up on the boat to sink. seriously nothing happends until halfway into the film when most of it was focused on those annoying love birds. and marketing on the boat to sink and people dying and a long period on romance just doesnt work for me. for a guy who makes his own stories , you need to set the balance from romance to action and dont spend a long time on the characters love story when the male lead always seems to die in these films. it s predictable. sorry james , you really work best with sci-fi and thats where it needs to stay.

This movie was awesome. Everytime I take a cold shower and am a big baby about it, i always think of them dying in the freezing water and how cold THEY must have been.
Nesysli Posted 8 years 4 months ago
I seen this with my sister in theaters. After this came out, every girl in school said ''You look like Jack, from Titanic!'' Just because I looked somewhat like him.

But anyway, amazing movie.
Ghostbuster01 Posted 8 years 6 months ago
the titanic is so cool
Love Lover Posted 8 years 7 months ago
My girlfriend didn't care for this movie because it wasn't Sci Fi like James Cameron's other movies. We both still liked it, but I like it more than she does.
Tony2Tone Posted 8 years 8 months ago
Some say this might be a chick flick...but whatever overall this is still a Good movie. I was all into knowing the facts about the Titanic when this movie came out.

toledoboy2008 Posted 9 years 1 month ago
My favorite movie ever. Almost the best movie of all time. The music playing when Rose was put placed in the life boat in slow motion is titled "UNABLE TO STAY, UNWILLING TO LEAVE". My other favorite piece of music is at the end.
Deleted Posted 9 years 3 months ago
Definetley a true love story, James Cameron outdid himself with this one by making an historical landmark into a blockbuster.
sharkbate Posted 9 years 4 months ago
the bit that i cried at was the part when rose is put in to a life boat and as the lifeboat is being lowed in slow motion and when rose looks up at jack who is looking down at her
legaly_blond_101 Posted 9 years 6 months ago

Cartoonzrule Posted 9 years 8 months ago
I don't get what made this movie so god damn special! This film doesn't seem to be worth seeing. I'm surprised that it was the first film to make more than 1 billion dollars! Was Steven Spielberg involved with this film?
besbblue Posted 9 years 8 months ago
This movie came out when I was in first grade but my parents liked it so much they took me to see it in theaters because they thought it was a movie that would go down in history. I guess they were right!

KachieChan Posted 10 years 3 months ago
Lol. My god.

My friend Becca would seriously make me watch this movie 5 times every night whenever I slept over. It was always the second part and not the first. I watched the first part at home, and I actually liked that part better than the second (because I had memorized the second by heart).
cowandchicken Posted 10 years 4 months ago
I went to see this in theaters around 5 times when I was 7! That's one moving song that goes with it.
starstix Posted 10 years 5 months ago

There were two Leo movies on last week. There was Catch Me If You Can on ABC and Titanic on TNT. Both movies are great.
Mistress9 Posted 11 years 4 months ago
Still cry everytime I see this movie...Leo Dicaprio is still freakin hottt.
Eureeka Posted 11 years 5 months ago
This is one of my favorite movies. Yeah, a lot of people give me rude remarks, but I don't care. This movie is one of the most beautiful and touching films I've ever seen. I liked it when I first saw it, but didn't appreciate it as much, but now it's in a special place in my heart. Definitely a gem, in my opinion.
Astera Posted 11 years 7 months ago
I love this movie, it had great music and good acting too. I always cry when I watch it. (Mainly over all the people dying on that ship, not much for Rose and Jack, although that was sad.)
retroguy78 Posted 11 years 8 months ago
From Growing Pains, to This Boy's Life, to this film. Leo became a man; he became THE MAN, and then we never heard from him after that, lol.
Demache Posted 12 years 2 months ago
Great movie but it always makes me sad. We have movie somewhere in my closet...I think.
AngelWolfDemon Posted 12 years 3 months ago
I like this movie but when the Titanic was sinking I thought the music players would try to escape too.
kimsy520 Posted 12 years 4 months ago
this movie's not bad, I agree that it was very overhyped though
jack skellington Posted 12 years 4 months ago
I was in first grade and I would go to school and play titanic

M4LKAL Posted 12 years 5 months ago
I was so surprised when the boat sank. I mean who saw that coming? Didn't like the movie, got bored and was upset it beat out other movies in the Oscars.
TV1985 Posted 12 years 6 months ago
I remember at the beginning of 1997 when The Star Wars Trilogy: Special Edition was in theaters. All three Star Wars movies were big hits with the Box Office. Then close to the end of 1997, Titanic was in theaters and was also a big hit in the Box Office.

-To James Cameron: You did well with Titanic.
-To Leonardo DiCaprio: You're good at your acting.
-To Kate Winslet: You are one beautiful actress.
EmeraldeJade Posted 12 years 6 months ago
Man I remember this movie stayed in the theatres for a looooong time Posted 12 years 7 months ago
