This was very well done for the time and i watched it again just a few months ago and it holds up well.

This movie is one of the best scifi movies I saw as a kid, I thought it was alot better than say for example Star Wars, even though the movie plot clearly borrows some elements from Star Wars. However, this is alot more in the style of Heavy Metal Magazine scifi than George Lucas style.
