There are three movies one must see: Eraserhead, El Topo, and Pink Flamingos. When I bought my very first VHS at the now extinct Crazy Eddie's they had a section where one could rent tapes. My first two (to the best of my memory) was Liquid Sky and Pink Flamingos. I read about both in a series of books titled Cult Movies and became very interested in seeing either of them. Pink Flamingos had me rolling on the floor the first time I saw it and exposed a younger to the madness of John Waters. Nothing was ever the same afterwards.

This John Waters film was a little to nasty! But the other films with Divine were laugh you ass off funny! I could not believe how one of the men in the movie could control his anal sphincter to open and close on demand!!! That was gross. But Divine was a Diamond in the rough, rough drag that is! No less a diamond. Too bad he died so young.
