This movie is NOT a remake of the 1951 movie except by name as they have little in common with each other and are 2 separate and very different films. This is actually another re-adaptation of the John W. Campbell story "Who Goes There" and is very faithful to that story which is something the 1951 film ignored.

Loved this since i was 14 as it has been one of my fave Sci-fi and horror films of all time.

This is one of the best horror movies ever made. No one being able to trust each other is what made it scary for me. It's part of the collection

I liked both this one and the original from 51'.After the scene in the dog kennel,I became afraid of dogs, for almost 5 years. The film is that powerful.

Gross but great remake by THE John Carpenter! I also liked seeing one of my favorite actors, Keith David in one of the lead roles.
