            My kids are watching this version in art class.This was another cartoon that they showed on T.V. during a holiday.Easter or Christmas,locally in Detroit.

              I used to have this on video, before my dad taped over about 3/4 of it (argh!). I still miss watching this version of the story.

                Man, this movie brings back memories! They used to run it all the time on HBO or Cinemax in the '80s. There's two different versions -- one where the kids have American voices (which I always thought was weird, but that's the version I know) and one with Brit voices. Certainly not as great as the novel -- and now it's rather dated -- but an admirable piece of animation nonetheless.
