apparently more people liked this movie than I thought. Of course at the time of its theatrical release it bombed. I love this movie.

Let's face it, Weird Al is a genius! This movie was hilarious and with Michael Richards co-starring along with him was just good casting. The best scene is when Kuni is hosting that game show Wheel of Fish.

No one I know has ever heard of this movie. It's so funny.
Folks on the interweb say it's no good... but that's the whole point, that's what makes it funny!

Today we're gonna teach poodles to fly.

This movie is hilarious, had they released it at better time;it might of been a blockbuster. But they released it the same month as Batman,Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade,GhostBusters 2,amoung others.

I thought that UHF was very entertaining and side-splitting. I especially love the theme song.

"Don't change the channel, don't touch that dial! We got it all on UHF! Kick off your sneakers, stick around for a while! We got it all on UHF!"

most people thought this movie sucked, but i loved it.

I usally like 'Weird Al' Yankovic, but I think he was trying way too hard to his movie funny.

Oh, Joel Hodgson (creator of MST3K) was originally ment to play Philo in this movie. I wish he had the part.

Responding to davidyck... in my opinion the movie was overlooked because of the critics. You know in my opinion critics are too embarrased to admit they liked a movie like this because it'll ruin their image. I heard that one critic had to apologise for giving this a good review and one critic said that this is "a movie so unfunny you're embarrased t laugh." Heard this in the UHF commentary. But it is one of the funniest movies and I laugh every time I watch it as well. But the overlooked thing was just my opinion on why this movie wasn't successful at first. By the way this movie is about to turn 20 this summer. Whoo-hoo!

I love this movie. I own it on DVD! :)

This movie is a total classis. i love the bum that wants change for a dollar.
davidyck Posted 5 years 10 months ago
actually, in my opinion, this is not the most overlooked funniest movies, this is one of the funniest movies, period. i cant stop laughing every time i watch it.
BenJamin Posted 6 years 26 days ago
This is one of the funniest overlooked movies at its time. I'd say my favorite part in the movie is Conan the Librarian. You return overdue books, he'll slice you in half. Sorry if I spoiled.

If everyone at The Retrojunk website

thought that Mr.Richards was nutty on

    "The Seinfeld Show"?

He's even crazier in this movie as"Stanly

    Spadowski".
    bruce4ever Posted 6 years 3 months ago
Jerry Seinfeld watched this movie and Cosmo Kramer was born when he saw Michael Richards with his mob and staple machine hahaha...Kramer rocks!!
    afterneath72 Posted 6 years 4 months ago
I heard something once that Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade crushed this movie at the box office. A lot of critics really liked UHF, but the Indiana Jones flick took most of the crowds away from it. It's a big hit on video.

    evan2007 Posted 7 years 5 months ago
iloveth80sfan911,you're mentally ill if you think that they should make a sequel to UHF now you've totally taken the fun out of every thing.so thanks a lot. P.S.i hate you.
Vickaronomie Posted 7 years 6 months ago
Oh that was a good laugh... That trailer is SO WELL PUT TOGETHER.

I saw it in its entirety just recently on DVD. For some reason, I never watched it all the way through before then.

" Do you notice anything missing from this desk?"
    " That stapler?"
    " NO!"
Great movie, I seriously watch it every Sunday morning.

shiroihikari Posted 8 years 4 months ago
"You're so STUPID!" was one of those running jokes my dad and I always had. I wish I could find this movie, I need to see it again.

takineko Posted 8 years 6 months ago
I love this movie so much.
It just bothers me because it could almost be two movies. The first half is all Al, but then its like Stanly really steals the show.
    Simpfan83 Posted 8 years 11 months ago
I loved the scene where Bob-o the clown accidentally got fed "Yappy's Dog Treats"
Mystie Posted 9 years 2 days ago
My parents used to get so tired of my brothers and I renting this movie over and over and over.
BRISCOCOUNTYJR Posted 9 years 4 days ago
my cousin was a stuntman in this movie. when they're showing the commercial of that gang and that dude gets thrown in the dumpster, he was the guy getting thrown into the dumpster. sweet.
    the movie sucked though.

We need a sequal for UHF!
    cr0nikAvnger Posted 9 years 15 days ago
Hard to beat the "Wheel of Fish" scene. When the contestant picks incorrectly, Kuni gives the memorable phrase "Your so stupiiiiiiiiiid!!!!!" Very funny indeed. A must see.
