Lucas's first film is a great hit.

after watching it on tv all the time i finally got the special edition dvd for christmas last year.i haven't opend it yet and i still watch it on tv.

You also have to remember that this was made at the height of the Vietnam war and Watergate, so everyone's views of the government were very skeptical...this movie reflects that era very well and I think it also reads very well today as we are criticizing our government in almost the exact same way...this is a brilliant film and say what you want about Lucas, but he is an amazing filmmaker...

That 20 minute long film project is what George Lucas did back in his film school. It was titled Electronic Labyrinth: THX 1138:4EB. That film is on the 2-Disc DVD set of THX 1138.

Lucas first did this as a project that was 20 minutes long.

I introduced THX 1138 to my sister.

She said she thought it was an ok sci-fi flick for it's time. She also said she loves The Star Wars Trilogy a lot better.

eather way it still has its bizzar moments but theres also the facted of where does a city like this exit,sure underground but where and is it after a luclear war or what,of corse besides where this movie takes place there is still there are still hondreds of other theries on how a world like this could exit,you just have to open your mind and think of something thats how all the greatest scifi achivements like starwars were invented,but this movies as weird as hell and thats what makes it cool,

I had nightmares for weeks after watching this film it,its a prety mested up look at what could be the world of tommorow,but ever when this movie was over it still has a lot of unaswered questions,out of all the creepy scifi movies from the 70's this one is sure at the top of the list.

George Lucas did well with his first movie of THX 1138.

I own this movie on DVD. It's worth buying and adding it to your DVD collection.

Not bad for GL's first movie...shit...not bad for anybody's first movie...it's definitely ahead of its time (yes i know it takes place in the future, i mean that you can watch it today and still be convinced that the future is going to be like the way it is portrayed)....and that camera inside the mirror/cabinet is pretty freaky..."What's Wrong?" ha ha ha and those police men are hella scarry too...good flick
