This 70-minute direct-to-video movie, from DisneyToon Studios, revolves around the POV of a meerkat: from the hyena invasion of his home digging grounds, meeting Rafiki, how a meerkat met a warthog... and how they got involved in the story itself. With the voice talents of (most from the original movie) Nathan Lane, Ernie Sabella, Julie Kavner, Jerry Stiller, Matthew Broderick, Robert Guillaume, Moira Kelly, Whoopi Goldberg, Cheech Marin, Jim Cummings, Edward Hibbert, Jason Rudofsky, and Matt Weinberg. Bradley Raymond directs from the screenplay by head of story Tom Rogers; Based on characters directly licensed from Disney. Produced by George A. Mendoza. featuring Raven performing "Grazing in the Grass", and includes Timon's ballad "That's All I Need", as originally written by lyricist Tim Rice and musician Elton John for "Warthog Rhapsody".
