Yogi's Treasure Hunt was the 4th cartoon on The Funtastic World Of Hanna-Barbera, it was a combination of both Hanna-Barbera's series Yogi's Gang and Popeye's Treasure Hunt. The characters pair off into a couple of different groups and each group tries to find the treasure first. Top Cat gives clues along the way to aid in their hunt, but former Wacky Racers & Vulture Squadron members Dick Dastardly and Muttley Mutt always get in the way and try to steal the treasure for themselves. The series debuted on Sunday, September 15 of 1985. The show focus on Yogi and Boo Boo Bear and their friends from the Hanna-Barbera family like, Quick Draw McGraw, Huckleberry Hound, Augie Doggie and Doggie Daddy, Super Snooper Cat and Blabber Mouse, Yogi and Boo Boo's friend Ranger Smith, Top Cat, Snagglepuss Lion, Dick Dastardly, Muttley Mutt and all the memorable favorites from the past. The show explains how the gang get together to find the missing treasure, And the series also had a funkyfresh theme song and it was rapped by Sha-Na-Na's very own Jon Bauman under the name of "MC Top Cat" and it was sung by TFWOHB's underrated group The Funtastic Singers. Yogi's Treasure Hunt became the longest show in Funtastic World's history from 1985 to 1987, and it was also Daws Butler's final Yogi Bear series/spinoff before he passed away in 1988. The theme song to Yogi's Treasure Hunt was also use as the official main theme of the 1st three seasons to The Funtastic World Of Hanna-Barbera where Yogi is not only a star of his show, but he was also the Host/Program Director/VJ of TFWOHB as well.
