The Daily Show
Debut: January 01, 1996

Comedy Central takes a hilarious look at recent headlines, media organizations and political figures. Originally hosted by Craig Killborn, the show was taken over by host John Stewart in 1999 who was perhaps its most swell-known host. After he retired in 2015 South African Trevor Noah took the show over. The host would play on current news stories and give hilarious monologues. At the start of each show, Stewart would open the show with a monologue drawing from a recent headline. Next Stewart would exchange with a correspondent, in a humorous manner and often in front of a green screen. The third segment featured a celebrity interview and the show would close with a look at the day's neighbor show, the conservatively-based Colbert Report. The show features several humorous segments in each episode. The series is known for it's very liberal slant and remain's Comedy Central's longest running program.
