The ABC Weekend Specials was a Saturday afternoon show that featuring stories had come from your favorite children novels that can turned into a cartoon or a live action made for TV movies. Some stories included Soup and Me, Cougar, Tom Sawyer and Huckelberry Finn, Runaway Ralph, P.J. Funnybunny, Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde, The Littles, and plenty more of a few great stories to get kids and teens interested in reading books. Willie Lester and his puppet pal Lester and later Cap'n O.G. Readmore became the hosts of the series, after the show was over Willie and Lester and soon O.G. will encourage viewers to tell on where they can find the book that was just shown from The ABC Weekend Specials and just to make sure they can get it from the library.
