The Disney Afternoon/Disney Club
Debut: December 15, 1989

A block of Disney original series. Each year, one show would be replaced by another. A version of this show was made in the UK called the Disney Club shown on a sunday morning but it stopped in 1998 and was renamed Disney Prade. The Disney Club was retruned under the name Disney Club TV. Throughout it's run, it included the following shows: Gummi Bears, DuckTales, Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers, Talespin, Darkwing Duck, Goof Troop, Bonkers, Aladdin, Gargoyles, Timon & Pumbaa, Quack Pack, Mighty Ducks, 101 Dalmatians, and Hercules. Disney Club started in the UK and Holland in 1989 and then in around 1991 during Darkwing Duck/Wake Up In The Wild Room era they added lyrics to the Disney Club theme for America whacked it on in the weekday afternoons instead of Saturday mornings and lighened the guitar at the end to make the ending not overpowering and called it Disney Afternoon so that America finally got their own version of the world famious Disney Block. Whilst the original UK and Neitherland's one may have been and gone from our TV sets since 1998 as well as it's Afternoon American counterpart it is still going strong in only one country in Asia Indonesia in the year 2016. In my opinion although lyrics were added in the theme it's worse than the original because the guitar in the ending is lowered and ruined and that bit of the track made the Disney Club theme for us brits. The butchered end guitars version was sadly used for almost every other country outside of the UK including their own instrumental versions of the American one but there have been improvements later in the butchered ending versions because they improved the fade out stopage which sort of replaces the legendary riff I guess but they are still not as good in my opinion as a brit. The Saturday Disney version shares the joint original Neatherlands versions theme so we coincedently had both main themes but both our UK themes were better than the covers even with the shock endings in my opinion.
