Fantasia 2000

A sequel to the 1940 classic, Fantasia 2000 continued the original concept Walt Disney had for a series of Fantasia films. It shares the same ideals of the original film combining animation with classical music including the returning short The Sorcerer's Apprentice featuring Mickey Mouse. This time each short is introduced with a celebrity guests including: Steve Martin, Bette Midler, James Earl Jones, Penn and Teller, Itzhak Perlman, Quincy Jones and Angela Lansbury. The music was conducted by James Levine along with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra with Leopold Stokowski returning for The Sorcerer's Apprentice. The film was first released to IMAX cinemas in 2000 followed by a theatrical release.
