Dune
Release: January 01, 1984

In the year 10,991, A young man must fulfill a prophecy by protecting the titular planet from the forces of evil, who wish to control the planet and it's spice, which extends life. Probably one of the biggest box-office bombs in cinema history, the film was poorly-recieved by critics, despite it's superb special-effects and well-picked cast. Director David Lynch pulled himself away from the movie, due to that the film wasn't what he envisioned. Like Ridley Scott's "Blade Runner", sseveral cuts of the film have been released: The Theatrical Cut, The 189 minute "Alan Smithee*" version, The Channel 2 version, The Extended version (which runs 137 minutes long), and the workprint film.
