War Games

A young computer whizz kid hacks into a top secret military super-computer called WOPR through a "back door" which has complete control over the U.S. nuclear arsenal. A range of choices of games comes up. He chooses Global Thermonuclear warfare It challenges him to a game between America and Russia, and he innocently starts the countdown to World War 3. The computer has AI and takes control of the nuclear arsenal. It begins running lots of nuclear attack simulations which show no winner. The kid then goes off to find the creater of the computer. They ask the computer to play tic tac toe instead the computer then learns its just a game.
