Homefront was a drama that aired on ABC from 1991-1993. While it only lasted two seasons before being canceled, it had a large following of people who loved it, and still do.
Set at the end of WWII, the pilot episode begins with families preparing for the return of their soldiers who are coming home from the war. The series continues with what life was like for people at that time. The men who returned from war are trying to fit back into their lives again, and the women are having to quit their jobs and go to work back in the home. The show dealt with issues of the day such as racism, feminism, union strikes, and acceptable social ettiquette.
