When a bride-to-be named Susan Murphy is struck by a meteor on the day of her wedding to weatherman Derek Dietl, she grows to over 50 feet tall and is taken away to a secluded location by the military. She soon makes some new friends including B.O.B. a shapeless blob, Dr. Cockroach, a highly intelligent roach, the Missing Link, a fish ape hybrid, and Insectosaurus, a gigantic grub.The group of monsters are soon told that an alien invasion is about to occur and the U.S. Military assigns them to take down the aliens with the promise of freedom.
