While the Peanuts gang is getting ready for Easter time, Linus says it is all a waste of time. He claims that the Easter Beagle will take care of everything but nobody listens to him except for Sally, who is still skeptical after the Great Pumpkin situation the previous Halloween. Peppermint Patty and Marcie are trying to color Easter eggs but it turns out Marcie does not know how to cook eggs cooking them on a griddle, a waffle iron, and in a toaster and eventually boiling them--out of their shells! Woodstock awakens after the long, chilly winter and Snoopy goes to help buy him a birdhouse and renovate it for him. Lucy believes that Easter, not Christmas, is the gift-getting season and decides to hold an Easter egg hunt. On Easter morning, Snoopy, dressed as the Easter Beagle puts eggs, the same ones Lucy was planning to use for her Easter egg hunt, on everybody's doorstep. Lucy realizes that Snoopy handed out HER eggs and, weeks later in the middle of summer, is still angry about it.
