After 26 years of marriage, abrasive workaholic Steve and his wife Jackie are getting a divorce. Now that they've parted, they find themselves in middle age and thrusted into the dating world. With the help of his best friend & fellow Wall Street trader, Mel, Steve gets set up on blind dates with little results. Things take a romantic turn when a visit to the hospital finds him attracted to a beautiful doctor named Kay. Meanwhile, Jackie focuses on getting a college degree while starving for affection that she never had with Steve. She then meets a young artist who goes by the name of Doc and is thrilled by the romantic interest he gives.
