After her best friend Lillian gets engaged, Annie is asked to be her maid of honor. Even though she's both lovelorn and broke, Annie tries to bluff her way through the expensive and bizarre pre-wedding rituals with Lillian and her oddball bridal party of outspoken Megan, Lillian's cousin Rita, doe-eyed newlywed Becca, and the wealthy Helen. As the days count down to the wedding, Annie finds herself in competition with Helen causing both friction and fear she and Lillian are drifting further apart.
