This cartoon was done for ABC Saturday morning by Ruby-Spears three years before the better known syndicated Heathcliff & the Catillac Cats/Cats & Co by DiC. This is technically the second and final season, since the first had Heathcliff and Ruby-Spears charaters Dingbat and the Creeps. The quality of this show was not as good as the one by DiC, either in writing or animation (mainly because DiC farmed the animation out to famous anime company Tokyo Movie Shinsha), but it's still interesting to contrast the two. Most of the voice actors were later hired back by DiC to reprise their roles, including Mel Blanc as Heathcliff.
