ALF (or Alien Life Form) is a creature from Planet Melmac that crash landed on earth, and is adopted/taken in by an otherwise normal Earth family. A comedic sitcom that featured episodes with everything from mundane things like getting people to like you, to close calls with the government, all with the added spice of Alf making life more difficult and interesting for all involved. The wise cracking alien, with a taste for cats (and we don't mean as pets) spent many years as a beloved TV icon for a good reason.
In 2004..the character returned as the host of a late night tv
talk/variety on Nickelodeon's"TVLand" Channel.
"Alf"was aided by vetrain announcer:Ed McMahon and by comic/
character actor Kevin Butler(Not to be confused with the ex football
legend)in segments that feaured interviews with Tom Green,Tom Arnold,
Drew Carey,Doris Roberts and Ventriloquist:Jimmy Nelson.
There was also some amusing conversations with members of the
audience and Butler performed in some hilarious skits that were
reminsent of "Tati" and L&H.
Sadly.."Alf's Hit Talk Show"failed to generate much interest
and the series was cancelled after a few shows.
