Arthur Bach is a irreverent, drunken, millionaire playboy with his faithful, dry-humored butler, Hobson, always at his side. He is also a lovable drunk best who is best summarized in his own words "I race cars, play tennis, and fondle women, BUT! I have weekends off, and I am my own boss." However, his happy-go-lucky, drunken lifestyle and all of its trappings may come to an end he does not marry Susan Johnson, the wealthy daughter of tough robber-baron Ben Johnson, at the bequest of his father. During his empty courtship with Susan, he meets Linda Morola, a diner waitress from Brooklyn. Arthur falls for Linda and chaos and comedy erupt.
