Burt Reynolds and Director Hal Needham(Smokey and The Bandit,Cannonball Run)team up again for more down home,car racing,hijinks.This time Burt plays Stroker Ace a race car driver,who's hot both on and off the track.Stroker has everything he needs,except a sponsor.Enter Clyde Torkle(Ned Beatty),a seedy Fried Chicken Magnate,who wants to use Stroker to sell his chicken,much to Stroker's dislike.Together Stroker,his mechanic Lugs(Jim Nabors),and Stroker's girlfriend Pembroke(The lovely Loni Anderson)team up to destroy Torkle.It's fast cars,fast laughs,and even faster women;It's Stroker Ace.
