Cat People
Release: April 02, 1982

Irena Gallier (Nastassja Kinski) is your everyday girl. She comes from Europe and lives in New Orelans with her brother Paul (Malcolm McDowell). She has a boyfriend named Oliver (John Heard) who works at the zoo. She lives a nice life, but she has sexual urges of a very strange manner, and when she acts on them, things get a little...wild, you might say. This movie is a remake of a 1942 horror movie, but it shows far more than could ever be shown during Hollywood's Golden Age. It's a very enjoyable movie with great sensuality, a wonderful Giorgio Moroder score, a David Bowie-performed theme song that's as intense as the movie itself, and a wide-ranging supporting cast, featuring all sorts of talents from Ed Begley Jr. to John Laroquette (playing a lawyer two years before he began playing Dan Fielding on "Night Court").
