Forrest Gump
Release: June 23, 1994

Forrest Gump is your typical boomer-aged Alabama man, even if he is not the fastest in the brain. This film is a coming-of-age tale as Gump lives his standard life in late 20th century America. Whether it is discovering he is fast on his feet to helping save members of his platoon in the Vietnam War, Gump remains unaware of how big an influence he is on others with his actions, or the significance of what is going on around him. Even the kind and gentle man he is, he still finds all the normal things for happiness like love and friendship.

Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich. That- that's about it."
Forrest Gump: "Done, Drill Sergeant!"
Drill Sergeant: "Gump! Why did you put that weapon together so quickly, Gump?"

Drill Sergeant: "Jesus H. Christ! This is a new company record! If it wouldn't be such a waste of a damn-fine enlisted man I'd recommend you for OCS! You are gonna be a general someday, Gump, now disassemble your weapon and continue!"

Forrest Gump: "Sometimes, I guess there just aren't enough rocks."
