Tim Burton's take on the 1964 novel by Roald Dahl. Charlie is a nice caring boy who lives in poverty with his four bedridden grandparents and his parents, right across the street from a famous factory owned by Willy Wonka. One day, Wonka announces that the factory will open to five children to can find a golden ticket in five bars of Wonka chocolate. Charlie wins one of the tickets along with Agustus Gloop, a glutton, Violet Bauergaurde, a gum chewer, Veruca Salt, a spoiled brat, and Mike Teavee, a video game addict. The children are in a contest to win the factory and become heir.
